lbert Obuya Onyach was born December 24, 1932 at
ndubay Nyaola, South Nyanza Province in Kenya, stAfrica.

He attended Simbi Primary School and Gendia Secondary

School in Kenya. When he completed the secondary school, he

started worl<ing for Tom Mboya's political office in Nairobi, Kenya.

From Tom Mboya's office he was sponsored to come to the
United States in 1966 to study. He attended the University of

Georgia and earned the following academic credentials: a Bachelor of

Science in economics; master's degrees in business economics, an-

thropology and modern languages; and a doctorate in sociology

He is survived by his wife, Prisca Onyach (Kendubay, Nyaola,

Kenya); four daughters: Jane Onyango (Atlanta) and Anne, Alice and

Atieno Onyach (Kenya); two sons: Isaiah (Huntsville, Alabama), and

Mimba Pnyach (Kenya); and two brothers: Abel Onyach (California)

and George Omanya (Nairobi, Kenya).

An avid music lover, particularly that of his native country,

Albert Onyach's favorite music was Nyatiti (Foll< Role Music).
