Willie Mae Oglesby, the daughter of the late Albert Banks, Jr.
and Martie Mozelle Banks was born on December 2, 1943.
A portion of her education was obtained at J. P. Carr School, Conyers, Georgia. \\'hile at J.P. Carr, Willie Mae proved to have a great talent 3.t basketball and she played with much enthusiasm. She was also a pop nlar pb.yer on the neighborhood softball team.
She later attended classes at Dekalb Community College in Clarkston, Georgia where she studied auto mechanics, a trade in which she always maintained great interest.
Willie Mae was the first black female bus driver for Rockdale C01.~nty Publit; School System. She later went on to study cosmetology at A.t!anta Beauty College in Conyers.
Her other interest included motorcycle riding, caring for pets of all kinds. Singing in the choir at Pleasant Hill C.M.E., where she was a tnetnber, and simply enjoying the company of friends and family as often as possible.
She leaves to mourn her passing: a devoted mother, Mrs. Mattie . Banks; two sons, Brian (Tony) McWhorter Oglesby and Brandon C.
Oglesby; a stepdaughter, Yolanda (nae-nae) Oglesby, and a Goddaughter, Cheryl Ann (Latimore) Haynes; two sisters, An~1ette Heurd and Sadie Ruth Banks, Charles scew) Mitchell; two ni~ces, Dialli'1e Gilstrap (Lamar) and Katrilyn Thornton; three nephews, Bruce Banks, Shun Mitchell and Jaylen Gilstrap; aunts, Nina Banks, Crecie Roseberry, Sally Thomas, Catherine Goggins, and Mamie Turner; a special friend, John Ogletree; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed but ahvays remembered.
Come boldly to God's throne. Our Father is in charge. Nothing is ;l]n small to ask and nothing is too large. Let us come boldly for oz.-,. Lor./ and Saviour. Cares, then askfor miracles, for God answP.rs prayer.
Let us come boldly, why should we hesitate when Jesus bids us to come in simple child-like faith. Let us come boldly for our Father above Answers our Prayers with wisdom and love.
