Mary was educated in Fulton County at the C.W. Hill Elementary and furthering her education where she graduated from David T. Howard in 1964.

Mary was a devoted member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church Usher Board name "TBC Usherettes" where she served for numerous years.

Mary desire in life was to do whatever she could for anyone she came in contact with . She loved to make people happy. She was very funny and kept you laughing in many different situations that occurred. Many people came to her for advice and moral support. She was always willing to give a smile, a listing ear and helping hand.

Mary was a loving and devoted companion to the late Mr. Clarence Barrett, Jr.; in this companionship, one son was born, Mr. Tylus Barrett (Anita); (4) grand-children , Kiamesha Barrett, Bianka Mundy, Quintavious Drains and Tylus Barrett, Jr. She also leaves to cherish her loving sister, Ms. Margaret Wright; one brother, Mr. William "Walter" Wright (Julia); one play daughter, Kilwanda Crawford (Cookie); one play brother, John McCoy and a wonderful and devoted friend, Mr. Cleveland "Cleve" Bass and a host of nieces and nephews who she truly loved dearly.
Preceding her death (2) brothers, Sammy Wright and George Wright; (2) sisters, Deborah Concepcion and Sharon Wright.
