Cora R. Nettles was born June 12, 1912 in Beatrice, Alabama to the Late Ellis and Mandy Riley. She was married to the Late Oscar Nettles.
At an early age she joined the Shilo Baptist Church and was baptized. She then moved to Brewton and she joined with the family at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church and was a member until she passed away on July 31, 2003. One daughter, Margaret Thomas, preceded her in death.
She is survived by six children: Morgoree Clark, Paula Barlow, Lois Ausby, all of Jersey City, NJ, Henry Nettles of Leeds, AL, Arulene (David) Harrison of Cincinnati, OH and Lucy (Samuel) Smith of Brewton, AL; one sister, Maggie Hines; four brothers, Cleveland Riley, Roosevelt Riley, Ollie Riley and Willie Riley; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
