At a time like this, when sorrow invades the heat1 and home, we find comfort and strength in knowing that so many care. The love and prayers we have received during the time of our loved one's illness and passing has been a blessing that cannot be measured. Your acts ofkindness, both large and small, were greatly appreciated. Please know that we love you, and may God continue to bless and keep you always. Special thanks to the Sadie G. Mays Rehabilitation Center, Donald Trimble Mortuary, Emma & Richard Moreland, and Mrs. Dorothy Choates, for their loving and caring spirit.

Obituary
Evelyn Byrd Mosley was the second oldest born to the late Salonia and Fitz Byrd, on November 22, 1915, in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Crogman Elementary, and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1934.
Evelyn pursued her interest in nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse from Grady School of Nursing, in 1937. Her career as a nurse began at Harris Hospital and Central State Hospital (Milledgeville, GA), where she worked in various areas. She later became employed at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she worked for more than 30 years. While employed at Grady, her assignments included the Obstetrics Clinic and the Emergency Room. She later became the charge nurse over the ENT Clinic. Evelyn retired from Grady on November 30, 1977.
Evelyn was married for 23 years to Robert Lee Mosley. During their marriage, they became loving parents to their daughter Veronica Mosley.
Evelyn was loving and nurturing, always giving inspiration and words of encouragement to the many lives she touched. She was respectfully known as the family matriarch. Family was a priority, and she always maintained a good relationship with her siblings and other family members.
Evelyn's nurturing spirit spilled over into her church where she served faithfully. She joined Zion Hill at the young age of 11. She regularly attended Bible Study, and Saturday Church School until her health failed. She was a member of the Sr. Usher Board for over 50 years. During that time, she was elected as their 1st female president. Evelyn loved her church and took comfort in knowing they were " one big family". Evelyn "\vas a member of Zion Hill for 87 years, which made her the most senior member of the church.

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies us-in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
