ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
"MUSIC IS THE SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE, A BEAUTIFUL HARMONY THAT INSPIRES A RANGE OF EMOTIONS. IT CREATES THE MOOD; IT INSPIRES US TO EXCEL IN OUR ENDEAVORS,
TO THINK BEYOND OUR MEANS. WHEN WE LISTEN TO MUSIC, IT CAN MOVE US TO RECALL MOMENTS IN OUR LIVES. IT TAKES US ON A JOURNEY, OPEN ROAD; YOU CAN PLAY IT ANYTIME AND TRANSPORT YOURSELF TO SOME OTHER PLACE, SOME OTHER TIME, SOME OTHER MEMORY."

OBITUARY
Jerome Wayne Moorman, 58, departed this life the morning of Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. At the time of his
transition, Jerome was surrounded by his immediate family. As was his way, he faced his future with a brave heart and direct approach.
Born on July 27, 1953 in Dublin, Georgia, Jerome has the honor of firstborn son. In his youth, he not only sang in the choir, but ushered as well. He was also a Boy Scout. Jerome grew to be a very spiritual being and a serious thinker. He was known for his one-liners and book of quotes. After graduating from Douglass High, he continued his education obtaining a BA
of Fine Arts from Georgia State and studying at Tuskegee Institute.
Combining his love of music and art, Jerome showcased his works of art in many venues and one-man shows predominantly throughout the
Southeast. As a Trade Show manager, his artistic talents not only allowed him to express himself creatively, but also support his family.
Jerome was an avid outdoorsman, human rights advocate and animal lover. He often took his family camping, teaching his sons love of the outdoors. He was also a volunteer, and made sure his sons understood
the importance of helping those less fortunate.
Jerome was consistent with his loves. In addition to painting, he was passionate about baseball (the Atlanta Braves!!!), fishing , camping, gardening, and beekeeping. He never gave up his dream of living on a farm, a tribute to his early years and memories of summers in Wrightsville.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 22 years, whom he always loved tenderly and loyally, Cindy Greenhalgh , two sons, Miles (age 16) and Dominick (age 14) Moorman all of Atlanta. Parents, Herschel and Amery
Moorman of Fairburn, Georgia. Two brothers, Prince Malcolm of Ellenwood, Ga. and Herschel Jr (Reena) of Atlanta, Ga. Two sisters, Chrisandra of Fairburn, Ga. and Tandra (Michael) Harrington of Raleigh , North Carolina. Two nieces, Kendra and Raven Harrington and three nephews, Julian Harrington, Maximillian and Maddox Moorman. And,
mother-in-law, Margaret Greenhalgh, four sisters-in-law, and eight additional nieces and nephews.
A host of cousins, friends and extended family will fondly remember his frank wit, humor and compassion for others.
