Julius Alton Moody transitioned this life on Monday, May 30, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born July 9, 1948 in Claxton (Evans County) Georgia and was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Eva Moody; two daughters, Tonya and Stephanie Moody as well as a grandson, I<.aterius Moody.

Julius attended school in Screven County, at Central High School.

He was baptized at an early age along with four siblings at Saint Paul .

Baptist Church in Sylvania, Georgia. He later moved to Savannah,

Georgia in 1966. From Savannah he migrated to Atlanta, Georgia

where he resided for 45 years until death.



Julius was employed at C&S Wholesale Meat Company as a maintenance Supervisor for 38 years before retiring. . He was well known for his famous greeting "WHAT'S UP ROOSTER" or "WHAT'S UP TURI<EY".

He leaves to cherish his precious memories three sons, Demetrius Leon Moody of Decatur, Georgia, Shelton Moody of Decatur, Georgia and David (Latoya) Moody of Bremen, Georgia; stepchildren, Russell (Yashica) Fillmore of Norcross, Georgia, Shemicla (Glenn) Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; father, Brooks Alton Moody of Ludowici, Georgia; two brothers, James H. (Cheryl) Moody of Petersburg, Virginia and Anthony B. (Brenda) Moody of Savannah, Georgia; three sisters, Marion Rocket of Savannah, Georgia, Catherine (I<itty) Moody of Decatur, Georgia and Mattie Maude Green of Ludowici, Georgia; two uncles, Joe Lewis Fabin and Henry Brewton of Hinesville, Georgia; one aunt, Annie Bell Brewton Mincy of Adanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Ceaira, Ashley, Demetrius,
Xavier, I<iara, I<.ennard, Jamya, Jacori, I<iera, Rashad, Jamar, I<iyah,
Cirit, Davion, Darrien and Debon; step grandchildren, London, Logan and Olivia; twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
