On August 7, 2001, Pastor Dexter and Elect-Lady Shawanna Mitchell welcomed their fourth child, a beautifUl baby girl they named Tishanna Shejuan Mitchell. She nicknamed herself ({Meme ''. Tishanna quickly excelled in school and loved math, dance, singing and always dreamed ofbecoming a Disney Star!
Tishanna a_ttended Clements Middle School and was an honor student. She sang in the school chorus and was a
cheerleader. She enjoyed spending time with herfamily andfriends.
Tishanna attended herfathers church, Praise Temple, where she danced on the girls dance team and sang in the youth choir.
Tzshanna was brave and lived her life to the fullest. She trusted God with all her heart and even at her young age was not afraid to share the goodness ofJesus. Tzshanna strongly believed her illness was notfor her but to bring unity to the world. She felt lives would be saved through her story.
On September 17, 2015, Tishanna, our brave little princess, slipped offto heaven to dance with angels. Tishanna is preceded in death by: Grandmother: Ms. Linda Jackson; Great-Grandmother: Mrs. Essie Aiken; Aunt: Mrs. Pam Cody Reese; and Uncle: Mr. Eric Usher.
