Obituary
On November 9, 1949, the late Mr. & Mrs. Rillious (Addie Joe Reed) Fuller were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby daughter whom they named Patricia Ann.
"Ma Pat", as she was so affectionately known by her family and friends, embraced life with zeal. As a single mother she worked diligently to raise her five (5) children; although it was an environment of humble beginnings, her love and God's grace always abound. Her message was clear and unwavering. She would often say, "You are not better than anyone and no one is better than you. You are all equal in God's sight". She would conclude in saying, "Know that your present situation does not define who you are or where you are going. It's your work ethic, how you treat people and your love for God that will sustain."
She did not let the pressures of being a single parent prevent her from imparting Christian values in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Ma Pat taught that the cornerstones of life lie in loyalty, love of God and family, trust, respect, integrity, and honesty; her children are the fruits of her labor and evidence of God's faithfulness.
You could often find Ma Pat running up and down the football field, cheering during a basketball game, or sharing words of wisdom to all she encountered. Let us not forget her savvy dance moves.
A lifelong member of Murray CME church, she served as a trustee. In addition, she diligently served as an usher for numerous years greeting all who entered with her infectious smile.
Ma Pat will forever remain in our hearts and all who encounter us will undoubtedly feel God's presence because she left her legacy of love in all her children. She is survived by her husband: Willie Z. Mitchell, Sr.; children: Timothy L. (Khiem) Reed, Willie ''Jake" (Vinita) Reed, Karen (Deon) Gibbs, Dennis "Dale" (Tracey) Carter and Peggy M. Carter; step-son: Willie Z. Mitchell, Jr.; 21 grandchildren: Quindarious, Jordan, Nigel, Jaevin, Jake Jr., Shanquencia, Kamarrie, Jazmine, Olivia (Destinie), Lydia, DeAngelo, Britt, Laslo, Timothy, Alexis, Dale, Olivia, Sir, Daylan, Joshua and Danae; sisters: Linda (Gregory) Eubanks and Rosemary (Lewis, Jr.) Ruff; brothers: Charlie Fuller, Richard Fuller, Phillip Fuller, Sr., and Gregory Fuller; sisters & brothers-in-law: Larice, Addie, Elise, Althaea, Jerry, Rosse, Larry, Joe, Bernard, Ray and Raymond Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
