Mrs . Mary B. Mitchell was born January 26, 1900 in Early County, Georgia. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs . Dan Blocker . She spent her childhood in Arlington and Cuthbert, Georgia .
At an early age, she joined the Bapt i st Church.
During he r young womanhood she was jo i ned i n marriage to the late Mr. Haywood C. Mitchell . To t his union, f ive ch il d r en we re bo r n .
Afte r moving t o Macon, Mrs . Mit che ll j o ined t he Saint Paul A. M. E. Church and rema i ned a fa it hful member . Al t hough she was il l the la st year s of her l i fe she rema ined a person who could ins pi re o t he rs i n her qu iet , cheerful way to a lways l ook t o God and t o the bri gh t si de of l i fe .
She was a member of Stewardess Board Number Two and Friendship Club of Saint Paul, the United Protective Brothers and Sisters Soc iety , American Woodmen and the Camelia Social and Saving Club.
Mrs. Mitchell leaves to mourn her passin g , a son, Mr . Wi llie B. Mitchel l of Ch i cago, Ill i no i s; two daughters , Mr s . Louise El li son of Fort Valley, and Mrs . Hazel Roulhac of Macon; seven grandch i ldren, Andre, Bobby, Mary and Ruth Mitchell, Gera l d and Michael Ellison and Wayne Roulhac; one daughte r -in-law, Mrs . Nell Mi tchell; two sons-in-law, Dr . C. L. Ellison and Mr. Robert Roulhac; two sisters-in-law, Mrs . Lelia M. Bronson and Mrs. Eddie Mitchell . Several cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
