Willie A. Miller, was one of four children born to the late Coven and Willie Mae Miller in Atlanta, Georgia on May 12, 1921. He departed this earthly life on Friday, October 16, 1998.
Mr. Miller served his country by joining the Army and returned home with an Honorable Discharge. He became a truck driver and drove for many years until he retired.
Bro. Willie Miller and his wife Sis. Earlene Miller joined Turner Monumental A.M.E. Church over thirty years ago under the pastorage of the late Dr. C. C. Hughes. He was not just a pew member but he served God and his church faithfully until his health impaired him from attending services. Even after his health kept him from attending services, he would always send his tithes to the church and he never failed to give generously to the cause of kingdom building .
Bro. Miller was a faithful ,useful member : he had served as a Trustee Board member , Steward, Church Sexton, Usher
Board # 1 member, Male Chorus member and anywhere he
was asked to serve.
Willie Miller leaves to cherish his memories: on~ loving daughter, Willie Ann Miller, two grandsons, Alan and Marcus Johnson, one devoted brother, Oscar Miller, one sister, Walter Mae Gilliam, nieces and nephews, Ronald and Faye Davis, Charles and Renee Parks, Mignon Williams, Anita Miller, Oscar and Brandy Miller, Marvin Miller and a host of other relatives and friends.
"Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast, There by His love o'er shaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest."
