V. WILLIS MILES. and Mattie Ellis

the daughter of the Willis was born

October 11. 1902. _in Fort Mitchell,. Alabama.

She attended the- public schools in Alabama and grew into young womanhood.

In August of 1918,. she professed a hope in Christ

and was baptized in under the pastorate

the Bethlehem Baptist Church,. of the late Rev. Snow.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Hr.

Homer Hiles in 1918. This union was -blessed with

eleven children. death.

Seven children preceded her in ~

She moved to Indianapolis,. Indiana in 1939. She

united with the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist

the

Tabe~nacle Mothers Board for many years.

"Beck" as she was affectionately called. was a

sweet and kind mother and opened her doors to many.

grandmother. She has as if they were her own.

WILLIS HILES,. departed this 18. 1992. while re~iding at

life the Mt.

Zion He~lthcare Center,. at the age of 89 years.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: 4 sons;

Rev. John Miles. Gaberil Miles. Otis Miles and

Mad~son Miles of Columbus. Georgia . 12

grandchildren. 41 great grandchildren and 12 .great

great grandchildren. brother; John Willis of Newark New Jersey, sister; Mary Brooks and a

host

of other relatives and ~herished friends.

A precious one from us has gone A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our home That never can be filled.

You are not forgotten Dear One. Nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
