Lucile Merriweather was born March 26, 1938 at Grady Memorial Hospital to the late Annie M. Camp Pinson (stepfather, Birdet) and Thomas L. Morrow (father) in Atlanta, Georgia.
She attended school in Palmetto, Georgia and South Fulton High School in East Point, Georgia. Later in life she met Mr. Lawrence Merriweather (who preceded her in death). This union was blessed with three daughters, Teresa Merriweather, Stephanie Gregory and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Rhonda) Wilder.
Lucile Merriweather was employed for 30 years with Owen Illinois until retirement. She was a world traveler who had a passion for baking and gardening. She also possessed a special spirit that made you feel right at home. She left a lasting impression on everyone.
Lucile is survived by her three daughters, Teresa Merriweather, Stephanie Gregory and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Rhonda) Wilder; five grandchildren, Ernest Wilder IV (Valerie), Mya Wilder, Anthony L. Gregory, Jr., Christopher L. Williams and Noah D. Gregory; four great
grandchildren, Lawrence D. Wilder, Mason J. Wilder, Maryiah
Yarbough and Ma-Kiya Yarbough; brothers and sisters, Thomas Morrow, David Morrow (Mamie) and Billie Lovett; brother-in-law, Bennie Lovett; a special daughter, Tina Sewell; a special son, Rev. C.J. Hollimon; the Merriweather, Hunnicutt and Camp families; and a host of other family and friends.
Desiderata
Go Placidly Amid The Noise & Haste, Remember What Peace There May Be In Silence. As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly & clearly; listen to others, even the dull & the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud & aggressive persons, they
are vexations to the spirit. Ifyou compare yourselfto others;
you may become vain & bitter, for there will always be greater & lesser persons than yourself Enjoy your achievements as
well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career; however humble, it is a real possession in the changingfortunes oftime. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many
persons strive for high ideals & everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself Especially do notfeign affection. Neither
be cynical about love; for in the face ofall aridity & disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel ofthe years, gracefully surrendering the things of
youth. Nurture strength ofspirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourselfwith imaginings. Many fears are born offatigue & loneliness. Beyond a wholesome
discipline, be gentle with yourself You are a child ofthe universe; no less than the trees & stars, you have a right to be here. Whether or not it is clear to you, the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore; be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. Whatever your labours & aspirations; in the noisy confusion oflife, keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery & broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be Careful. Strive to be happy.
