Obituary
Barbara Joyce McNease, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson, was born on March 30, 1954 in Greensboro, Georgia.
Barbara was baptized at an early age and became a devoted member of the Springfield Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mass Choir and participated in various church functions throughout her lifetime. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Edward Lee McNease on Augu t 14, 1982. After they were married, Barbara joined her hu band at the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Deaconess Board.
Barbara was educated in the Greene County School District, where she graduated as an honor student. Barbara earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Clark, Barbara became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She wa employed by Channel 5 New , Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and Lawdered, Battle & Little Adversity Company. For the last 26 years, he was employed by Delta Airline , Inc., where she met many friends and was loving called, "B .J.".
She wa outgoing, friendly, energetic, loving, caring and very generous. Barbara was well known throughout the Greene and Fayette County communities, and she always welcomed any and everyone into her home.
Barbara departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 7, 2006, in Riverdale, Georgia. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her devoted husband, Edward L. McNease of Fayetteville, GA; two sons, Steven Edward and Jermie Patrick; one stepson, Brian Nelson; brothers, Larry (Mary Lee) Wyatt, Vernon (the late Ruby "Pat) Jackson, Derry (Sheila) Drake, all of Greensboro, GA, and Weldon (Lorraine) Jackson of Garnerville, NY; one sister, Joan (Nicholas) Antone; parents-in-law, Edward and Peggy McNease of Fayetteville, GA, and Huley (Patricia) Edwards of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Kate) McNease7 Huley (Brenda) Edwards, Reginald (Kim) Edwards, Stanley (Sherali) Edwards, all of Atlanta, GA, and Gary (Jodie) Edwards of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Regina (Johnny) Belle, Linda (Victor) Foxworth, Michelle (MarcusO Brown, Pam (Earnest) McKinney, Monica (Willis) Moody, all of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Willard (Corine) Jackson, of Cincinnati, OH; special aunts, Mamie Alexander of Greensboro, GA, and Sara Prather and Reecie Ashe of Atlanta, GA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and priceless friends.
