CLAUDIE RAGLAND Mcl.AUGHUN was born to the union of the late Frank Ragland Sr., and Medi Ragland on November 15, 1909 in LaGrange, Georgia. She received her education the public schools of Troup County, Georgia.
In 1925, she was united in holy matrimony to Frank McLaughlin Sr. To this union, four children were born: Mary Ella, Claudia, Frank Jr., -and Lula. Mary Ella was called from labor to reward prior to her mother, January 2, 1986.
Claudia accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour early in her life. She became a member of the St. Mark Methodist Episcopal Church, Meriweather County, Georgia. She later became a member of the St. Mary Methodist Epicopal Church, Rev. M.G. Kite, Pastor, upon becoming a resident of Hogansville, Georgia. At St. Mary she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Vacation Bible School Teacher, a member of the Usher Board and a member of the United Methodist Women.
For many years, she was a faithful employee of U. S. Royal and a member of the Jolly Thrift Savings Club.
After a brief period of illness, the Lord called her from labor to reward on the morning of Friday, December 27, 1991.
She leaves to celebrate her life: one son: !\~r. a'1d Mrs. Fral'"lk McLaughlin Jr. (Nora) of Hogansville; two daughters, Mrs. Claudia Lakes of Columbus, Ohio, and Dr. and Mrs. C. V. Johnson Jr (Lula) of Chicago, Illinois; seven grandsons: DeWitt McLaughlin, Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allison, Marietta, Georgia, Frank Mclaughlin Ill, Seattle, Brett McLaughlin, Hogansville, and Cornelius V. Johnson Ill, Chicago; seven great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Behold I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when thls corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, death is swallowed up in victory. (I Cor.15:51-54)
