Willie James McCurty was born March 15, 1960 to the late I<.atie Rouse McCurty and Mr. Jimmy Lewis McCurty, in Atlanta Georgia at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Willie attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church at a very young age in Atlanta,
Georgia. He was a God fearing man. He was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. Although he played football and baseball Willie lov~.d basketball.

He was also known as "The Spades Man". Willie was loved by everyone thatcrossed his path. Every time you saw him he always had a smile on his face ~nd a hilarious joke to tell.

Willie worked for Tempo Management for many years as a maintenance man. He was a jack of all trades. Willie had two favorite quotes "Shonuff' and "I'm Not With That".

Willie was a father, brother, uncle, and cousin.

He leaves behind to cherish loving memories: two children, J ermaine

McCurry and Ashley Lucas; two grandchildren, Makayla McCurty and

Elijah Lucas; five siblings, Jimmy "Nard" McCurty (I<.athy) of Decatur,

Georgia; Gloria McCurty and Zena McCurty both of Atlanta, Georgia;

I<.enp.y McCurty of New York, NY; and Dennis McCurty of Decatur,

Georgia; two aunts, Christine Durham and Mary Liza Carswell, both of

Jeffersonville, Georgia; ten nieces, eight nephews, and twenty-five great

nieC:~s and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
