Mr. /siah (Ike) Mathis was born on November 29, 1917, to Rev. Robert Thomas Mathis and Mrs. Mattie Sue Sims. He married Mrs. Lavonia Bowens and three children were born, Tina, Carlolyn, and Robert.
Ike was a working member of the Siloam Baptist Church. He worked untiringly on the Siloam Usher Board, even while he was ill.
Mr. Mathis is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Lavonia Mathis; two (2) daughters, Mrs. Labonia (Tina) Herring and Ms. Carolyn Wright; one (1) son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Mathis; five (5) grandchildren; six (6) great grandchildren; two (2) great-great grandchildren; four (4) aunts; six (6) sisters-in-law; one (1) brother-in-law; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many-many caring friends
