Mr. Anthony Tremail Martin, Sr. was born on October 11,1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to James and Allene Martin who departed this life on March 15, 2015. He attended Kirkwood Elementary, Coan Middle, and Murphy High Schools in the Kirkwood Community.
As a young child, he watched his father work on cars and do body work for which he developed a passion. Anthony loved music and playing the electric guitar, which he used to play while being in a band he and his friends put together in school.
He retired from DekalbCountyWatershed Management of 29 years in 2010. He then became Chef Tony staying in the kitchen cooking everything you could think of. He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren and spoiling them. More than ever, he enjoyed his time here with his family every chance he got.
Anthony is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary N. Martin of 35 years. Together they shared one son, Anthony "Lil Tony" Tremail Martin, Jr. (Anthony Tremail Martin III - wife, Teria); three daughters, Lawona "Wanda" Hannah (Jayla Sherman, Anthony Hannah, Jr. - husband, Anthony), Sonya "Dee-Dee" Chester (Tiara Smith, Nieara Chester, Dequise Salley), and Keeosha "Duke" Martin (Alexia Martin, Amari Martin.) He left behind one brother, Roderick "Roy" Martin; four sisters, Dwon Byrdsong, Tequila "Niecey" Barfield, Carla Benton, Jannette Martin, as well as a niece, a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
