the second child born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Alvin
Cooper on January 7, 1910 in Athens, Georgia, Clarke, County, and departed this
life on Sunday. August 19, 2001. Both of her siblings preceded her in death.
She received her early education in the Clarke County Schools and completed the remainder of her formal education at Young Street School in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rita B. at an early age married the late Mr. Arthur Partee and to this union two this union two children were born, Earnestine Partee White and Arthur Partee Jr. who proceeded her in death. Her granddaughter, Brenda Partee Harris also preceded her in death earlier this spring. She was also married to the late Mr. Arthur Marion
Sis. Rita B. Marion joined Turner Monumental A.M.E. church under the pastorage of Rev. Henry Jackson and remain faithful in service where she remained faithful for over 55 years. Under the late Rev. J.R Hurley, she was appointed president of Usher Board Number 1 and remained for 48 years until her health began to decline in 1991. She was always ready and willing to serve the Lord and her church. She was a Class Leader, Trustee member of the Down Home Club, Ulric George 50 Years Club, and a captain for all of the Annual Days sponsored by the hurch. Sis. Marionwill be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memm:y one daughter Elder & Mother J.T. White (Earnestine), one foster grandson Mr. Teny Palmer, two greatgrandchildren Felecia and Rodney Harris, two great-great grandchildren, fwe foster grandchildren and a host of friends.
