"God saw you getting weary, so He did what He thought was best. He came and stood beside you and whispered "Come and Rest". You bid no one a lastfarewell, not even a goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why".
Gregory Ladale Manuel, Sr. was born November 27, 1959 in Newton County, Georgia to the late Mr. Henry Jack Manuel and Mrs. Edna Gilstrap Manuel.
Gregory attended public schools in Newton County, Georgia. He furthered his education at Dekalb Community College and was employed with Atlanta Gas Light Resources as a Senior Application Specialist for twenty-six years.
He accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1991 and was added to Bouldercrest Church of Christ (formerly Turner Road Church of Christ) where he attended faithfully until his health declined.
He entered into holy matrimony in 1988 with Meloneas Chaney. He was the loving and compassionate father of three daughters and two sons.
Gregory always greeted everyone with a smile. He enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. Greg was a kind, gentle and loving person.
On August 17, 2015, he answered the call to enter into eternal rest following a long period of illness. He leaves to cherish his life, a loving and devoted wife, Meloneas Manuel; a caring mother, Edna Manuel; one brother, Larry (Valda) Manuel; three daughters, Treceina Manuel of Covington, Georgia, Syreeta (Nigel) Charles of Hampton, Georgia, and D'Andra Manuel of Stockbridge, Georgia; two sons, Gregory L.
