Obituary
Addie Lee Binion Maddox, daughter of Mrs. Annie Mae Dudley Binion, and the late Mr. Birt Binion, was born in Morgan County, Georgia, December 14, 1945. Most of her life was spent in Madison.
Addie Lee was a product of the Morgan County School system; having attended elementary school at Thankful and Mars Hill, and her high school work was at Pearl High School in Madison. She graduated from Paine College in Augusta. She taught in the Morgan County system and later in the Putnam County system.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and united with the Thankful Baptist Church family under the leadership of the late Reverend J. H. Jordan.
Addie Lee was joined in marriage with John Maddox, and they lived in Monroe during her final days. Tuesday evening in Monroe, Georgia, her spirit took up its spiritual flight and departed for a period of rest. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Mr. John Maddox, loving-devoted mother, Mrs. Annie Mae Binion. Sister, Mrs. Eva Mae Edmondson, brother, Mr. Maurice Binion , two aunts; Mrs. Maggie L. McGuire, Mrs. Mary Ellen Keeley. Sisters and Brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
