OBITUARY
On Wednesday, October 24, 1990, a flower was picked from the garden of life of the Lucas family. This beautiful blossom was Mrs. Geneva Lucas, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Cora Lakes Culberson. She was born July 1, 1925 in Troup County. At an early age she joined the Springfield Baptist Church and was a faithful member.
She was married to the late Mr. Richard Lucas in 1946 and was the mother of five children.
She leaves cherished memories to two daughters, Mrs. Florence L. Pittmon and Mrs. Cora Lee Lucas, both of Hogansville, Georgia; three sons, Mr. Bobby Culberson of LaGrange, Georgia, Mr. Coyce Culberson of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mr. Ike Ivans of Hogansville, Georgia; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Virginia Culberson of Louisville, Kentucky; one son-in-law, Mr. Toy Pittmon of Hogansville, Georgia; four grandchildren, Richard Lucas, Carla Culberson, Coyce Culberson, Jr., and Michael Culberson; a host of cousins and friends.
There's an open gate at the end of the road, Through which each must go alone. And there in a light we cannot see, Our Father claims His own.
Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest, And there is comfort in the thought That a loving God knows best.
