"Cfl5eat is not extinguisMng te fig!, it isyutting out te famy because te aawn as come. ,
On Monday. March 23. 1992. the tired spirit of Mr. James Thomas Lott, left his frail body and he fell asleep '"as one who wraps the draperies of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams." after a short admission to Floyd Medical Center. Affectionately called "Skippy" by his family and friends. he was one who loved life and people. . Born in Bartow County (Georgia). April 5. 1942, he was the son of the late Mr. Virgil Lott and Mrs. Louise Bowdoin Lott Appling. His parents ad two brothers have predeceased him.
Educated in the Bartow County School System, at a young and . tender age he united with Queen Chapel A.M.E. Church.
For a number of years "Skippy" lived in Pennsylvania and was employed at J. & L. Steel Mill, was a former employee at Lewis Carpets. Goodyear Rubber Company and Greene Stove and Fireplace Distributors Company. His duties and services were performed
faithfully and always cheerfully. A stranger "Skippy" never met. He was kind. friendly, and had a
great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Skippy now bids adieu to his devoted family. two loving sisters, Mrs. Carrie Mae Stephens, and Mrs. Susie Mae Heard: one devoted brother. Mr. Edward "Hezekiah" Lott: one brother-in-law. Mr. James Earl Heard all of Cartersville: aunts. uncles. nieces. nephews. cousins, other relatives and friends.

With grateful hearts, we. the family of Mr. James T. Lott. are extremely thankful for the kindness and caring shown during the illness and passing of our loved one. From flowers. food. messages. and other deeds. we have been comforted.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways. Of happy Urnes and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave - When life is done.
