Rev. Farris L. Long Sr. ofClayton, GAformerly ofAthens, GA departed this life on]anuary15, 2013. Born in Athens Clarke County GA., he was the son ofthe late Ralph Long Sr., and Oree Barnett Long. He was employed with Athens Clarke County School System as a bus driver and monitorfor 26 years. He was an Air Force veteranfor 23 years in which he retired with an honorable discharge. He was the Pastor oflvy Hill Baptist Church, Clayton, GA for 15 years. Rev. Farris L. Long Sr. was proceeded in death by a sister Mary Louise Long and a brother Ralph Long Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Cherry[ Mance Long, one daughter , Deloris Long ofAtlanta, GA., one step daughter, LaKeyshia Mayfield ofClayton, GA., two sons Kevin Potts ofAthens, GA, Farris L. Long 11 (Teshia) ofJacksonviUe Fla., seven grand children, one step grandchild and three great grandchildren, two sisters, Mattie Long of Atlanta, GA, Hattie Matthews ofAtlanta, GA., two brothers Norris Long (Amelia) ofAtlanta, GA. and Melvin Long (Ethel) ofSeattle, Washington, two sister-in-laws Wanita Long ofAtlanta, GA. and Shelia Wright (Tracy) of Clayton, GA., a mother-in-law Mary Owens Mance ofClayton, GA and Grand mother Ethel Roberts Owens ofAllendale, S.C.
