A TimeTo Be Born: Mrs. Lillie Mae Scott Lewis was bornJune 8, 1914, to the late Sam and Lillie Scott in Midville, Burke County Georgia.
A Time To Live: She received her education in Burke County. At an early age, shejoined Bark Camp Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a missionary, deaconess, church secretary, and mother ofthe church. She was also a life time member ofthe New Aurora Chapter No. 60 Order ofEastern Star Waynesboro, Georgia. Lillie Mae loved to cook and she especially enjoyed feeding her grandchildren and anyone who entered her home. She also enjoyed gardening and the beauty of the lovely flowers that graced her yard.
A TimeTo Love: Lillie Mae was united in holy matrimony to the late]ames Lovett Lewis, Sr. on September 18, 1932, to this union eleven children were born.
A Time To Die: Mrs. Lillie Mae Scott Lewis departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Jefferson County Hospital, Louisville, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband,]ames Lovett Lewis, Sr.; two sons, Charles Lewis I and Reverend]ohn Edward Lewis; and one daughter, Marjorie Lewis.
A Time To Mourn: Mrs. Lillie Mae Scott Lewis, leaves to cherish herprecious memories: Jour sons, McArthur (Mollie) Lewis, Loganville, GA;James Lovett Lewis, Jr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Leotis (Gloria) Lewis, Atlanta, GA and Alvin (Gloria) Lewis, Midville, GA; three daughters, Bernice Phillips, Colorado Springs, CO; Trnddie Harden, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Zellecin Barrett, Brooklyn, NY; a grandson reared as a son, Randolph (Willie) Lewis, Acworth, GA; one sister, Lizzie Williams, Wadley, GA; a devoted nephew, Edward Scott, Sr. and a daughter---in---law, Ruby Pearl Lewis both of Midville, GA; thirty---one grandchildren, forty---one great---grandchildren, ninegreat---great grandchildren and a host ofdevoted nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
