Perhaps you sang a lovely song, . Or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers, If so, we saw them there.
Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day.
Perhaps you prepared some tasty food, Or maybe furnished a car.
Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, Near at hand or from .afar.
Whatever you did to console the tears, We thank you so much, whatever the part

jeanette Ophelia ]ones Lewis, 99 was born August 16, 1916 and departed this earthly world on October 9, 2015.
As a virtuous woman, jeanette "looked well to the ways ofher household" and provided a safe, caring and nurturing environment for her children and her husband.
Born in Norfolk, Va., jeanette was a member ofMt. Hermon Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess. Prior to serving at Mt. Hermon, she attended Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Norfolk, where she was a deaconess and a member of the Pioneer's Club.
Known for delicious food, jeanette is the last surviving child born to Nancy and joseph jones. She was preceded in death by her brothers Clarence Jones, Iris jones, sisters Beluah Couther and Catherine ]ones. jeanette was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Rev. Moses L. Lewis, Sr., who she affectionately called "Lewis", her daughter, Shirley Ann Fuller and her grandson Moses L. Lewis, III (Trey).
As a virtuous woman, she and her children were 'covered in silk and purple." Her style and matching of all clothing and accessories, was passed down to her children.
She is survived by; daughter, Carolyn L. Williams (Leo, Jr.) of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Moses L. Lewis, Jr. (Barbara) of Ellicott City, Md., Joseph E. Lewis (Brenda) of Montgomery Village, Md. and Rev. Steven A. Lewis (Roslyn) ofChesapeake, Va.; and Mary Ann Bowen of Virginia Beach whom she loved like a daughter; 12 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to her immediate family, Jeanette leaves to morn her passing, a very faithful caregiver Bettie Jones, and her daughter Fertinma.
For some time, family and friends have missed her ((opening her mouth with wisdom and kindness"; however, because of her consistency and faith her legacy lives on. She
truly believed, if I can help someone along the way then my
living is not in vain.
Her favorite words were...keep on living and God has been good to me.
