'We are confident, I sqy, and willing rather to be absentfrom the boqy and to be present with the Lord. " ~ 2 Corinthians 5:8
Mr. Andrew Conway Lewis (Connie) was born on December 9, 1941 to the late Bessie Fudge Sims and the late John Lewis. Andrew entered into eternal rest on September 2, 2011.
He received his education in the Atlanta Public School System. Andrew joined the Local Union 438, as a teenager. Through the union, Andrew worked for various companies. Andrew worked for Crown Cork and Seal for fifteen years as a machine operator. He would later find himself looking for work again through the union, after the closing of the company. Andrew enjoyed working in construction and later found employment with Mci<.enney's Mechanical Contractors, as a warehouseman. Andrew worked for McKenney's until his retirement, in 2004. After retirement, he was very active with the kids and their school activities. Feeling like he was not busy enough, Andrew took up employment with Wal-Mart Corporation for three years before retiring again.
Andrew gave his life to Christ at an early age. He joined Ben Hill United Methodist Church on July 14, 1996. He was a very active parent with the children's ministry and later, joined the male chorus until he encountered health problems. Andrew was a family man. Thank you for seventeen years of unconditional love.
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be flesh"- Genesis 2:24. Andrew and Pamela married on July 13, 1996. Andrew truly loved his family and friends.
Andrew leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, a devoted and loving wife, Pamela Lewis; two children, Reginald Maurice and Ra'Shone Montris; four brothers, Larry Lewis, Willard Warren (Colleen), Edward Gresham Gennifer) and Calvin Gresham; two sisters, Clory Ann Jarrell and Annie Dorris Burke; one uncle, William Fudge, a very caring and loving mother-in-law, Betty Baker; brotherin-law, Chong Hall (Dolores); sister-in-law, Vonda Baker; close friend, Orville Skinner, a host of friends, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
