THE OBITUARY
Beonis Lester was born March 30, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia to William, Sr. and Fannie Murphy. She departed this life unexpectedly on Friday Apri I 11, 1986.
In 1926 she moved to Akron, Ohio, and at an early age confessed Christ and was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church were she maintained her membership until she was united with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Nurses' Guild, now known as the Health Unit and a dedicated and loyal member of the Senior Usher Board. She was also a former member of the International Chapter of Eastern Stars.
She leaves to mourn her passing; a devoted husband, Fred Lester Sr. daughters Earlene Wilson, Akron, Ohio, Carolyn Lester, Memphis, Tenn., Alice Kerr, LaFayette, Ind.; sons Paul Douglas Lester, Dallas, Texas, Fred Lester, Jr., Charles E. Lester, Akron, Ohio, Henry Lester and Cornelius Lester, Memphis, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; sisters Earlene Woods, Fannie Rahim, Bernice Richardson and Josephine Richardson all of Akron, Ohio, Virginia Richardson, Massilon, Ohio; brothers William Murphy, Jr., Alonzo Laster, Akron, Ohio; Cousin Rev. George Gay, Philadelphia, Pa.; a dear friend Mattie Stinson, many other relatives and friends.
