Obituary
Our beloved Mr. Rogers Lawrence was born February 28, 1941 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Eddie (Alma Freeman) Lawrence, Sr. Born in Covington, Georgia, he was one ofseven children; three brothers (Willie Gene, L.G. and Robert Lawrence) preceded him in death. Rogers departed this earthly life on May 24, 2011. Rogers was educated in the public schools ofNewton County, graduating from R.L. Cousins High School in 1960. At an early age, he joined the Macedonia Baptist Church, becoming a very dedicated and faithful member. On Christmas Day, 1965, Rogers married his sweetheart, Gladys N. Webb. This loving couple was blessed with two children. A hard worker, Rogers was gainfully employed by PACTN, retiring in 2003. He then became a "FULL TIME" granddaddy! Rogers loved his church and his family; he was always a humble man. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45+ years: Mrs. Gladys Webb Lawrence; his son: Mr. & Min. Andre (Wylene) Lawrence; his daughter: Minister & Mrs. Willie (Adrien) Smith; two grandchildren: Antarius DeAndre Terrell and Aundrea LaShay Lawrence; three sisters: Mrs. Alma Stewart, Ms. Lillian King and Ms. Louise Webb; one brother: Mr. & Mrs. Eddie (Rebecca) Lawrence, Jr.; brother-in-law: Mr. & Mrs. Arthur (Josephine) Webb; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other loving relatives and numerous dear friends.
