Mr. Henry James Lawrence was born in Bibb County, Georgia on December 18, 1910; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William T. Lawrence.
He attended the old East Macon Elementary School and graduated from Hudson High School in Macon, Georgia. He was united in marriage to the late Mrs. Jennie M. Howell Lawrence. To this union, one daughter was born, Mrs. Juanita Larence Howard, who also preceeded him in death.
M r. Lawrence was for many years associated with the YWCA; in later years he was with the Payne Manufacturing Company where he worked until his retirement .
After a very short illness, he entered into eteni al rest on November 6, 1975 at the home of his sister.
He leaves to mourn his passing : two sisters, Mrs. Viola Horne of Macon; Mrs. Mary Woodall of Detroit; one brother, M r. William Lawrence of M acon; f ive grandchildren, Ms. Valarie D. Lawrence, M r. Gregory K. Howard, Mr. Kenneth P. Howard, M r. Rudy Howard, Ms. Violet F. Howard of W arner Robins; one great-gra ndson, Sterling A. Lawrence of Warner Robins; Brothers-in-law, M r. W illio Horne of Macon; Mr. Anderson Woodall of Detroit; Sister-in-law, Mrs. Lila Lawrence of Macon; a devoted cousin, Mr. John Hill of Detroit; Sister-in-law, Mrs. Dessie 0. Ware; Nieces and Nephews, Mr. Lawrence Ware; Mr. & Mrs. Oslen Ware; Mr. & Mrs. Freeman Colbert; Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Childers. Other devoted relatives and friends.
