Please don't say that I gave up, just say I gave in. Don't say I lost the battle, for it was God's war to win or lose.

Please don't say how good I was, but that I did my best.

I

Just say I tried to do what's right,

to give the most I could, not to do less.

I

Please don't give me wings or halos, that's for God to do.
I want no more than what I deserve, no extras, just my due.

Please don't give flowers or talk harsh tones.

I

Don't be concerned about me now.

I'm well with God, I've made it home.

I

Don't talk about what could have been, it's all over and it's done. Just see to all my family's needs, the battle has been won.

When you draw a picture of me, don't draw me as a saint.

I

I've done some good and I've done some wrong.

So use all your paint, not just the bright and light tones.

I

Use some gray and dark, in fact don't put 1ne down on canvas, paint me in your heart.

Don't just remember good timEs, but remember some bad.

I

But if you must do something, then I have one last request.

Forgive me for the wrong I've done.

I

And with the love that's leftThank God for my soul's resting.

Thank God for I've been blessed.

I

Thank God for all who loved me.

Praise God who loved me best.

Well Done

I

I

fu I sit here thinking about all of the times we've shared, I can only think about the past four weeks.

I

We talked about going to far away places.

We talked about seeing many different faces.

I

We talked about going on long walks in the park. We talked about being afraid of the dark.

We talked about doing many different things.

I

We talked about all of the joy life really does bring.

We talked about being happy and not trying to cry.

I

We talked about everything even the way you wanted t.o die. We talked about your life being pain free.

We talked about how much you really meant to me.

I

Although you left this earth, we know that you are not really gone.

God knew what was best for you and He knew just when to call you home.

I

You will be greatly missed and you are greatly loved. Now it's time to get your wings and soar just like a beautiful white dove.

I We love you and we will miss you!

Cassie,
I What can I say girl, I miss you already. Thinking back, I am remembering a Thanksgiving

I

Day when we were in the ninth grade and my Mama had invited all my friends to dinner. It was twelve of us. We called ourselves the "Dirty Dozen". It was a mixture of young silly

girls and boys.

I

Only about five or nine of us showed up. Anyway, when mama got through saying the

grace, I'll never forget her telling us that friends are hard to find, but if we found one, we

I

best hold onto it.

I

I count my blessings daily because for 35 years, we Held On!

Through the birth of our children, the sickness and pain, the getting mad with each other,

I

the lost of loved ones, going through the ups and downs of both of our lives, we were there for each other through it all. We both knew all we had to do was pick up the phone and

one or the other would come running.

I

My friend, I feel good knowing that you knew that our friendship was a fight ordained by

God that filled my life with beauty and joy. Your presence will be everlasting in my heart.

I

Cassie, now that you've closed your eyes for the last time to go be with our Father who

made it possible tor us to have those 35 years, I will not think about what I have lost, but I

I

will always dwell on what you left me with. The memory of your smile, those big beautiful eyes and the gift you had for always being able to make me laugh.

I

Well Cassie, you know how you used to say, "It's got to get better!" Well those who are

here today might not believe it will, but for you, my sister and most of all my friend, today

I

it got better! No more sickness, pain, nor heartaches, nothing but Joy and Peace!

Rest On My Sister, Rest On My Friend.

I

Love always,

Your friend "Phelps"

The family of Cassie Latimore (Willis) would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude. We thank each and everyone of you who

took the time to show us how much you really care. All of the cards and flowers and

I

all of the hugs and late night talks have really seen us through our troubled times. God bless you and keep you for all the days of your life.

Mrs. Mildred Crawford,

I

and the Assembly of Truth Ministries.

I

We would like to thank you for all that you've done for Cassie. Without your care and concern about her well being, her life would have been much more unbearable. Words can

never express just how much your actions have lightened our hearts and for that,

I

we will be forever grateful.
