I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not see another day, To laugh to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with memories enjoyed. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Oh yes! These things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seems all too brief; Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me f ree.

Reflections
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth."
Psalms 121:1-2
Milton Lamar was born August 29, 1922 to the parentage of the late Mr. William N. and Bessie Pitts Lamar in Jones County, Georgia.
He attended school in Jones County. Mr. Lamar moved to Buffalo, New York in the early 1950's. He was united in matrimony to Marie Holmes who preceded him in death. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Mills and retired as a foreman from the company.
Milton was known to his family and friends as "Sonny". You couldn't have met a better person, always warm, friendly and loving to all he came in contact with.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory one daughter; Linda J. Allen of Macon, Georgia; two sisters, Dorothy (Lawrence) Card of Macon, Georgia and Bernice Green of Detroit, Michigan; four brothers, Henry Lamar, Sr., Walter Lamar, Sr., Norman Lamar, and Booker T. (Dorothy) Lamar of Macon, Georgia; two grandchildren, Benjamin H. Allen, and Bridgette R.L. Allen, Macon, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
"Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions;
if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself,
that where I am, there ye may be also. "
John 14:1-3
