OBITUARY
Mary Magdalen Kennedy was born October 26, 1918 in Fernandina Beach, Florida to the ate Clifford and Louise McDonald.
Mary was the oldest of twelve children and she was a mother to her siblings as well as a sister.
Mary and Charles were united in marriage in 1948. They relocated
to lewes, Delaware, where they raised their nine children,four of whom preceded her in death.
Due to declining health, she had to leave the employ of Governor
Caleb Boggs and family. She began to baby-sit in her home and became an adopted mother to most of the children for whom she cared.
Mary was a devoted servant of almighty God and a dedi~ated
member of St. George AME Church. She was the Chairperson of the Fall Railey for many years.
She leaves to cherish memories of her, devoted children, Mercedes Barrett (James), Rose Wooten (William), Jay Kennedy
(Pam), Spencer Kennedy (Diane) and VIncent Kennedy (Angela). 16 dedicated grandchildren, 4 sisters: Allee Felder, Lois Valentine
(Vincent), Albertha Anderson (Henry), Jeanette Mobley (Otis), one brother Henry McDonald (Norman), Mary Wilson (sister-In-law), a host ofnephews and nieces, her adopted family (The Timmons),.and so many very very special friends.
