When I watched you dying and I couldn't stop it cause it was your time to go, I was crying and wishing you well. But when I watched you I could only think of the good things we've done, the good times we've shared and the bad, but I still cry now. It's a day we wont forget I SAY . When I watched you, I saw a part of me die with you. You were the best mother and grandmother a child could have. Our good times and bad times will never dir, no one can ever take your p1ace, I STAND UP FOR YOUR HONOR, YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS WE'VE SHARED, I STAND UP. I BELIEVE IN THOSE LAST FEW MINUTES OF HER LIFE SHE SAID, "FATHER I STRETCH MY HANDS TO THEE", NOW SHE HAS
II PUT ON HER LONG WHITE ROBE AND SHE Is WEARING HER
GOLDEN CROWN". "To us, the family, one of these old days we all will wear a Crown!!!

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
God has blessed us with each of you and all of the gifts of love you have bestowed on us. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for the food you brought, the flowers you sent, the services you rendered in our behalf, and for your prayers. God bless and keep each of you is our prayer.
For the tea and the pillow As we lay down for a nap For the torn-up slip to sleep in The blanket with which we wrap
For the sticky, sweet syrup sandwich Macaroni and cheese made from scratch And if there was one more hyngry child You'd fix another batch
For teaching us to be strong black women And responsible working men That no matter how often life knocked us down To always get up again
For just being there to run to When Da-Da was on our tail And even when you couldn't prevent the pain You could help to make it well
We love you more than we ever told you But we showe~ you every day We didn't wait until now to give them We gave you your flowers along the way
So we can rest now with you, Moa We know you're free from the pain You .' ll be on the other side of the sunshine Never again wet by t~e rain.
We've tried to be the kind of children A grand mother like you deserved For the years of service you devoted to us This has been our time to serve.
Yo~ started work early in life's morning, Moa Wh1le the sun was just starting to rise Now at the end of a long day's journey Sleep well, Mother Dear, in the sky.

"PROFILE OF MY LIFE"
I, born WILLIE MAE PATTERSON, on November 7, 1923. My parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephens and Beatrice Ford Patterson. I attended school in the Jones County School System, the county I was born i n . I was uni ted i n marriage to the 1ate Mr. Dewitt Jones, Sr. , in March, 1936, and God blessed us with fourteen children, eight (8) boys and six (6) girls. Two of my children, Willean Jones (my oldest daughter) and one of my sons, Eddie
Lee Jones, preceded me in death.
During my life time, I had a wonderful life. My first duty to my husband and children. God blessed me with the best and as long as I kept Him in my life there was never anything too much for me to hand 1e. I was a homemaker, as we 11 as working outside of my home to
help make a life for my family. Outside the family I
did domestic work, worked at the Macon Little Theater, and took work home to do.
My husband and I dedicated our lives to making a home for our children. We taught them to love, not just themselves, but to love like Jesus taught us to love. We taught them to depend on each other and know that if they would just always continue in this way, there will be nothing they could not do. Above all things, we taught them about THE LORD. Their Daddy was Methodist, a member of Duresville Methodist Church, and I am Baptist, a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Lakeside. We had our chi 1dren attend both Churches, making up thier minds where they wanted to attend because GOD IS THE SAME NO MATTER WHERE THEY WORSHIPPED HIM AT.
TO ALL MY CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, I want you to always remember the LOVE we have,
remember to stay together, no matter how many mi 1es separate you, a1ways know that although we are not
there in the body, we can never be apart from you. YOU HAVE US IN YOUR HEART, YOU CARRY US WITH YOU DAILY AND THANK GOD, THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE. In rearing your
chi 1dren, grandch i 1dren, etc. , remember our teaching,
remember our love, remember our sacrifice, remember all the positive, good things as well as the bad things that we have experienced through our 1i ves. The good wi 11 be a pattern to use to help you do the best for your family. The bad will be a pattern to use to help save you from a life of regrets.

TO MY CHILDREN
I know you all didn't want me to leave you, I know you did not want me to go, But The Lord knows what's best for me, HE called and I had to go. I know if you could hold me, That you would surely try, That's why I had to slip away, ever so quietly, On wings from on High. REMEMBER MY LOVE.
