Motlier Susie Jones
Mother Susie Jones was born on August 15, 1913. She was the fourth of six children born to the late Will and Luella Alexander, four ofwhich preceeds her in death. The Lord called her home on March 5, 2005.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late George A. Jones in 1931. God blessed the fruit ofher womb and she borne fifteen children; five of which preceeds her in death: Georgia Mae, Julie Mae, Arthur James, Willie George, and John Robert.
At an early age, she joined Flint Ridge Baptist Church where she served faithfully. Later, she moved her membership to New Creation Baptist Church, under the pastorship ofRev. Benjamin Clark. She served on the = Mother Board until her health failed.
Grandma Susie started a life-long tradition of Sunday dinners. Family and friends would gather together each Sunday at her house for some good home cooking and fellowship. Also, she loved to fish and travel every chance she got and she never met a stranger. She loved everybody and always supported her pastors unconditionally.
She leaves to cherish her memory ten children, Claudie B. Jones, Roosevelt Jones, Leroy Jones (Lola), Mildred Scandrett (Robert), Clifford Jones (Barbara Ann), Evelyn Scott (Walter), Eugene Jones (Addie), Tommie Joe Jones (Jeannette), John Henry (Beulah), and Kenneth Jones; one brother, Daniel Alexander; a devoted daughter-in-law, Jerrie Jones (John Robert); one goddaughter, Missouri Harley; seventy-one (71) grandchildren; one hundred twenty-four (124) great-grandchildren; fourty-four (44) great-great-grandchildren; three (3) great-great-great-grandchildren; a host ofnephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A MILLION TIMES WE WILL NEED YOU, A MILLION TIMES WE WILL CRY.
If LOVE ALONE COULD HAVE SAVED YOU,
You NEVER WOULD HAVE DIED.
A HEART OF GOLD SffiPPED BEATING, YoUR EYES WAS CLOSED ro REST.
IT BROKE OUR HEARTS, BUT PROVED ro US,
Goo ONLY TAKES THE BEST.

The family of Susie Jones would like to thank

!

each and every one of you for your many prayers, calls,

visits, food and all other expressions of sympathy. You have

truly been a blessing to us and we pray that you will continue to

keep us lifted up in your prayers.

The family gives special thanks and blessings to Susie's two devoted daughters,

Mildred and Evelyn, who were her primary caregivers and overseers of her

estate throughout her declining health. We'd also like to acknowledge our

mother's neighbor, Juanita Edwards, and the great help she was in helping us

I

keep an eye on our mother.

We would also like to especially thank the nurses who cared for

our mother throughout her illness, with such special care and attention.

May the love of Christ and His richest blessings be yours, forever.
