Sarita KeShoan Jones was born on Aprill, 1979 to Pamela Jones and the late Perry Shelton. She was a product of the Atlanta Public School system. She graduated from North Atlanta High School where she was the reigning prom queen. In 2001 she received her B.S.degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. Because of her commitment to learning she earned a M.A. degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006, and received an Educational Specialist in Instructional Leadership in 2009, both from Nova Southeastern University.
Sarita has always been an angel with a smile that can brighten anyone's day. She loved to laugh and enjoyed life. Her service to mankind was exhibited through her career, her lifelong commitment to serving God and her beloved sorority Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was initiated in the Spring of 2003 in the East Point/College Park Alumnae Chapter. Sarita adored being a member of the sorority and providing service to her community.
Her memory, humor, and courageous spirit will live on forever. Especially through her daughter Kendall Ariana Jones (future Delta) and her sister Sorer Shalonna Jones. Although she will be greatly missed we know she is fulfilling her ultimate purpose in life.
