In tears we saw you sinking We watched youfade away.
All of our hearts were broken;
We wanted you to stay, But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefullyfree from pain. How could we wish you with us.
To suffer that again. It broke our hearts to lose you.
For a part of us went with you.
The Day God took you home.

tJ n Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, the Spirit

of Rosa took flight from the land of sickness and pain to an eternal

resting place. After an injury, which lead to a lengthy stay at a nursing

home, she received her summons and slipped quietly away to meet her

Lord and Savior and receive her life rewards.

She was born January 8, 1932, to the late Annie Elizabeth Johnson. As a child, Rose attended Chowan County Public School and at an early age joined Providence Baptist Church. As a teen, she came to Philadelphia to continue her education. She graduated from Beaumont School of Practical Nursing in 1954. Rose dedicated many years to the Food Service Industry, which included Horn and Hardat,Jerry's Concession Stand and Center City Soul Food at 19th and Samson Streets.

On February 22, 1965, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Frank Earl Jones Sr. Rose was a very loving and caring person, always willing to give a helping hand. Rose always loved taking trips to Atlantic City. She always had a funny joke to brighten up anyone's day. There was never any sad days with her around. We will all miss her dearly.

Rosa is survived by: five children, Alfred Johnson of Sicklerville, New Jersey, Charles and Carolyn Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, Audrey Jones of Chula Vista, California and Frank Jones of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Marjorie Jones of Elizabeth City, NC; a very special life, long friend, Wheeler Jones; three daughters,in,law, Lisa, Gloria and Wanda; two sons,in,law, Michael and Sonny; 16 grandchildren; 16 great, grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews of several generations, cousins and other relatives and many, many friends.

ry a few silent tears,
Can't wash the pain away, othing can fill the space.
That was created that day. Enough tears can't be cried, nothing can bring her back,
No words can be spoken, to comfort the pace we Jack.
n about,
Quietness steals our breath, We choke back our tears,
As we are hit by ones death.
No happiness to be spoken of, times,
But even than we weep, As we wonder if we will 'be fine,
Don't know if we can make it, As she lies in her resting place,
she may be gone, But we wili always remember her face.

I
1
I
I I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence
cometh my help. My help cometh for the LORD,
which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy
foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not
slumber.- Psalm 121: 1-3

We won't spend much time mourning. Tears are for the
sad.
You left to be with jesus and this made us glad. We won't waste lots of time grieving. No need to feel distress.
You were tired of life's frustrations and had to get some rest.
We won't vex ourselves with questions, or try to reason why.
Life here for you had ended,it came your time to die. We won't lose the love you gave us. We'll feed it with your care.
We'll grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere. We won't fret because your leaving came in such a way. We'll have another meeting with you in Gods eternal day.
