Mrs. Katie leeJones was hom March 3, 1928 in R:usseU Couniy, Alabama to
the late Fannie MaeJackson and the late GeorgeJames.
On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, the Lord called her home at St. Francis hospital in Columbus, Georgia. We wish her a peaafuLjourney home.
Katie worked as a homemakerfor herfamily and enjoyed sewing and making
homemade quilts and pillows.

She was united inHoly Matrimony to the lateJessieJones and to this union six
children were hom.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Evelyn Birks.
She leaves to cherish her many memories: three sons,Jesse (Rochelle)Jones,Jr., Ben C.Jones, both ofCo(umbus, Georgia and Eddie (Gina)Jones ofLoganviUe, Georgia; two daughters, Katie Davis and Patricia Qoe) Harper, both cf Columbus, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys DowdeU cflndianapolis, lndiana and-Fannie L Smith cfApple
Valley, California; and a host cfother relatives andfriends.
