Mr. Jimmy H. (Jim) Jones was born July 11, 1933 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Ola M. Groce Jones and the late Mr. Paul Jones. He grew up in this native area and attended Bibb County Public Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served faithfully from 1952 till 1955, with an honorable discharge. He was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church where he sang \Vith the Male Chorus and the Senior Choir.
He leaves to mourn his passing: a wife, Mrs. Thelma Jones of Macon, GA; two sons, Mr. Jimmy Jones, Jr. and Mr. Paul Jones, both of Macon, GA; one grandson, Master Sonny Williams; one brother, Mr. Henry R. Jones of Macon, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Driskell of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Mattie Peeples of Macon, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Virginia W. Jones of Detroit, Mich.; one brother-inlaw, Mr. James Driskell of Detroit, Mich.; a devoted aunt, Mrs. Ella Nell-Patterson and Mrs. Pauline Groce, both of Macon, GA; seven nieces; Mrs. Burnetta F. Kent, Mrs. Burnell K. Deloach, Mrs. Audry Driskell, Mrs. Teresa Trimm, Miss Janice Johnson, Miss Sonia Graves, Miss Regina Peeples; two nephews, Mr. James Driskell, Jr. and Mr. Loyd Driskell; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
