Arthur Jones, born July 20, 1913 to Eliza and Dan Jones of Marion, Arkansas. He later moved to Sardis, Alabama where he confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Shiloh M.B. Church under the leadership of the Rev. A. C. Cosby.

Later he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he united with the Union M.B. Church under the leadership of the Rev. Royster in 1946 where he served until death.

Arthur was e1nployed as a Stationary Engineer for thirty-five

years 1977.

Arthur departed this life Thursday, April 5th at 2:00 a.m. at Lakeside Veterans Hospital.

He will be reineinbered by his beloved wife, Martha Jones; five daughters, Minnie, Brenda, Regina, Valerie, and Anita; one son, Arthur; three sisters, Lauverta, Laura, and Dorothy; three brothers, Yancy, Joseph and Tho1nas; fifteen grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

A precious one from us has gone, The voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our hearts, That never can be filled.
