OBITUARY
Mrs. Josephine Ferguson Johnson of 183 Forest Avenue died Monday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Johnson was a native ofMacon, Georgia born the only child to Calvin Ferguson and Janie Ferguson ofMacon. Josephine received her formal learning from the East Macon school (now M. M. Burdell Elementary) and the Ballard Normal High School. She was a graduate of the Fort Valley State College, Fort Valley, Georgia. She was employed by the Bibb County Board ofEducation as an elementary school teacher. She taught at the Unionville Elementary School her entire tenure in Bibb County.
"Jo" as she was called will be missed by all who knew her. She was an active member of the Steward Chapel A.M.E. Church until her health failed.
She leaves to mourn her passing yet cherish her memories: a loving husband, Willie Johnson of Macon; cousins,
