Ms. Darlene J. Jenkins departed this life on January 15, 2014 at 3:13A.M.
Darlene was the fourth child born to her father and mother in Coweta County, Georgia on March 21, 1956.
She attended Peter James Bryant Elementary School and she graduated from Carver Vocational High School in 1974. Darlene continued her educational journey and attended Branell College with a concentration in nursing and graduated in 1994. She also attended Bethune-Cookman College. She also worked with "Visiting Nurse" for a few brief years and ended her working career with Hospice Atlanta in 2005 after ten years of dedicated service.
Most of Darlene's life was absolutely dedicated to the well being of others. Physical as well as spiritual she loved "witnessing" the gospel of Jesus Christ to any and all that crossed her path.
She was a member and part of the choir at Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ when J ohnathan Greer II was pastor. Later in life she was became a member of the Cathedral of Devine Love, where Bishop Johnathan Greer moved. Darlene mostly enjoyed singing for the Lord adamantly. She was part of the choir in the play " Gospel at Colonua" at the Alliance Theatre in 1986.
Darlene was a wonderful mother, not only to her only child, but to nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Hester L. Johnson; oldest brother,
