Nanny, I just want you to know that I love you. You have been a blessing to me and your grandchildren. I thank God for allowing me to be a part of your family. I appreciate those Life lessons that you taught me. I will miss the stories, laughs and the tears. You are a phenomenal women that I will treasure always. Love your daughter in Law. -Jennifer.
Every time I think of my friend, I will think of the verse John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Because of you my friend, I see heaven differently. You show me that you are a champion in this life and the next. For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. My friend thank you for sharing your life with me you are my champion and my hero. I love you Maxine. -Brenda
I became Maxine's caregiver over three years ago. Being her caregiver was a pure pleasure. We knew the same people from college park. We talked and laughed tremendously. She was so much fun. She spoke her mind with a smile. It would crack me up! I'm known as Shirley Mae. She was Mamacita! She was so witty and always positive. She was not a job. She was a pleasure. I loved her company. I will miss her humor and the way she spoke her mind so freely. I love her. - Wanda, Also Known As Shirley Mae!II
Dear colleagues, my name is Courtney Lee Jackson Jr. Mrs. Maxine Jackson was like a best friend to me. I would come visit her during the summertime and she would make me laugh all the time. One of the precious memories I share with her is my name. She could never get my name right. She always called me Dereck. To me that was the funniest thing ever, and before you know it I just started answering to that name. Rest in peace Nanny we love you, and miss you dearly.

You welcomed me with open arms when we first met. You showed me love through your cooking and dared me to say I wasn't hungry; Needless to say I ended up eating anyway. Your indescribable love is unlike any other I have experienced and I thank you for showing me that love. - Tamara
