Mr. Adli Glenn Jackson was born November 30, 1956 to the late Mr. Moses Glenn and the late Mrs. Lucy Moore Jackson. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived there and in Decatur, Georgia until he departed this life June 7, 2013.
He was fourth of eight sons; five preceded him in death, Harold Glenn, Orrin Jackson Jr. Jerry Jerome Jackson, Donald Jackson and William Rowley Paxton.
As a child e attended the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Decatur, Ga. under the leadership of his grandfather, the late Reverend Mercer McGuire. Later he joined the New St. John Baptist Church under his brother-in-law Reverend J. L. Henderson, where he served on the brotherhood. He pressed to attend his last worship service on April 28th to memorialize his Mothers' Birthday.
He was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools and Dekalb County Schools where he attended Bass High School. He worked in various jobs as a laborer and cook. He learned to cook BBQ from Mr. Ben Reid and on many occasions he and his brothers catered social events. His passion was for fishing and fishing and more fishing.
His love of fishing and his famous saying "If it's safe for me to say so" will be cherished with loving memories by siblings, Mrs. Dorothy (Glenn) Gay, Mrs. Frankie Clark of New York, New York, William Glenn Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Gholston (Charlotte), Rev. and Mrs. J. L. Henderson (Barbara), Mr. Larry Jackson, Ms. Yvonne Jackson, Mrs. Lillian Jackson and Mrs. Evelyn Jackson (sister-in-laws), Mr. Orrin Jackson III, Devoted cousin Doris Bowens, Gloria Penn, Margaret Smith, Alline Ivey, ( God Sisters) Special nieces and nephews that cared for him Deirddre Jackson, Dominique Jackson, Caretta Brown and Aubrey and Lisa Jackson and a host of other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
