Obituary
Gillian (Kipper) Hutchins, a devoted mother and grandmother was born in Alpharetta, Georgia on April14, 1906 to Armer and Edgar Rucker. She gracefully transcended into eternal peace on March 6, 2001 after an extended illness, with her family at her side.
Kipper married Carl Bates in 1925 and to this union one child was born, Dorothy Pemberton.
Kipper joined the Berean Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the early 1960's under the pastorate of Elder Harold Cleveland. After moving to Decatur, Kipper transferred her membership to Boulevard Seventh-Day Adventist Church. At both churches, she served on the Dorus Society and Usher Board. Kipper was also a Deaconess and Sabbath School Teacher.
Kipper had two brothers, Robert and Gus, who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter: Mrs. Dorothy Pemberton; four grandchildren: Yvonne Rivers, Yvette Robinson, Michelle McMillan, and Elaine McClure; five great grandchildren: Mandel Robinson, Elyse McClure, Scotty McClure, Branden McClure, and Michael McMillan II; and a host of other relatives and friends.
