Willie Lee Hunt went home to be with the Lord on May 10, 2015 as a result of lengthy illness. He was a resident of Snellville, Georgia, but
a native of Albany, Georgia
Willie Lee Hunt was born on May 22, 1937, to the late Epsie Mae Hunt of Albany, Georgia and Eddie Lee Hunt Sr. of Sylvester, Georgia.
Proceeded in death by: a daughter, Gayle Hunt, a son Johnny Hunt, two step-brothers Eddie Lee Hunt Jr. and John Hunt and one stepsister Geneva Wheeler.
Surviving by his loving and devoted wife Bertha Ruth Hunt; two daughters: Tracy Polk and Shirley Fountain (Lamont) of New Jersey; five sons: Willie Fred Hunt (Sandra) ofNew Jersey, Anthony Hunt of Virginia, Richard Jackson (Latoya) of Conyers, Georgia, Christopher Jackson Hunt of Ellenwood, Georgia, Adam Hunt (Erika) of Alpharetta; one daughter-in-law: Melissa Jackson of Snellville, Georgia; three non-biological sons: Roger Shackelford (Cynthia) of Conyers, Georgia; Sean McGrady (Latrice) Snellville, Georgia and Musa Krigger (Nazreen) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four step-brothers: Roosevelt Jackson of Orlando, Florida, Johnny Will Hunt and Willie Hunt (Linda) of Albany, Georgia; one sister: Ethel Lee Richardson of Sylvester, Georgia; two brother-in-law: Algie Davis (Lisa) of Conyers, Georgia and Andre Malone of Marietta, Georgia; three sister-in-law: Norina Oldham and Alice Gilbert of Steubenville, Ohio and Saundra Malone of Powder Springs, Georgia and Sharon Sligh of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; a speci(ll cousin James Hill of Albany, Georgia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Willie Hunt was a Christian by faith. He retired from Emory University Hospital after 30 plus years of service.
