SUMMARIUM
Mr. Luther B. Howell, Sr. the son of the late Mr. Colonel Howell, Sr. and Mrs. Olivet Riley Howell was born in Taylor County Ga. on August 21, 1919. He grew up in Taylor County and attended the public schools. At an early age he united himself with the Antioch Baptist Church of Butler and because of his faithful service he was ordained as a Deacon of this great church where he also served faithfully until death. Mr. Howell served his country in World War IJ with honor. He returned home and became a member of the Taylor County Institutional on Farm Training Class where he was an outstanding student. On january 8, 1950 he joi11ed in Holy Matrimony to Miss Everlee Mathews and to this union 8 children were born. Mr. Howell was very active in his county and community affairs and was admired by many. His demise came on Afarch 16, 1983 at the V.A. Hospital of Atlanta, Georgia after a period of illness. Survivors are a devoted wife lvlrs. Everlee Nlathews Howell of Butler, Ga. 6 daughters Miss Earnestine Howell, Miss Rozetze Howell, Miss Evelyn Howell, Miss Mattie Howell all of Rutler, Ga. , Mrs. Ellie Ivey of Roberta, Ga. and Miss Catherine Howell of Atlanta, Ga. 2 sons Mr. johnnie Frank Howell and Mr. Luther B. Howell, Jr. both of Butler, Ga. Mother, Mrs. Olivet Riley Howell of Butler, Ga. 6 sisters, Mrs. Ida Mae Ross, Miss Bessie /-lowe ll, Miss Marie Howell all of Butler, Ga., Mrs. Fannie Montgomery of Thomaston, Ga., Miss Vester Lue Howell of Atlanta, Ca. and Mrs. Florida B. Dragna of Roosevelt, N.Y. 4 brothers, Afr. Robert Lee Howell of Reynolds, Ga., Mr. George Howell of Roosevelt, N.Y., Mr. Eugene Talmadge Howell and Mr. Colonel Howell, Jr. both of Atlanta, Ga. 1 uncle, Mr. Elijah Riley of Atlanta, Ga. 7 lovely grandchildren, Christopher, Lakinski Dee, Cedrie Howell all of Butler, Ga., Edward Ivey of Roberta, Ga., Marcus, Arlo, and Chashawna Wesby all of Atlanta, Ga. 15 Sisters-in-law, 13 Brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Your life is a beautiful memory, your absence a silent grief. Your sleep in God's beautiful garden Of sunshine and perfect peace. You left a beautiful memory, a sorrow too great to be told; But to us who loved and lost you, your memory will never grow
