Felix Howard was born in Caswell County in 1891. He
twas reared by his late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Howard in the Red Hill Community. On Saturday evening, January 6,
1973, he departed this life in Dixie Memorial Hospital, Newport News, Virginia.
He had been a resident of Newport News, Virginia for three years. He was a retired farmer, a member of Red Hill -Baptist Church and a member of Dan River Lodge No. 490,
F. & A.M.
He was married to the form~r Miss Carrie Withers, who preceded him in death. They were blessed with seven children.
A few years ago, he married Miss Sadie Smith. The immediate survivors are: ~is wife, Mrs. Sadie S.
Howard of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; five-daughters, Mrs. Annie Lea of Jiampton, Virginia, Mrs. Cleo Voss of Oxon Hili; Maryland, Mrs. Sadie Badgett of Caswell County, Mrs. Beulah Seaborn and Mrs. Catherine Gwynn of Newport News, Virginia; two sons, Henry Howard of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and James Howard of Seat Pleasant, Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Neal of .Reidsville; four brothers, Anthony Williamson of Elon College, Robert Watlington of Newport News, Virginia, -clarence and Lawrence Watlington of Algoma, West Virginia; twentyone grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The pains of death are past,
