Hazel Ruth Twine Holley answered the called of our heavenly father on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the age of 77 after a long illness. She was born in Chowan County, North Carolina on May 20, 1934. She was the only child of the late Ruth Twine Gatling.
Hazel worked during her early years in the Edenton-Chowan School system and later retired from George C. Moore Elastics in Edenton, North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lee Holley, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Pamela Langford, of Hampton, Va., Sheila Parker (Roy) of Franklin, Va., and Kimberly Bembry (Anthony) of Edenton, N.C. and one son, Curtis Holley, Jr. of Elizabeth City, N.C. and one stepson, Bernard Hurdle (Ava) of Virginia Beach, Va.
Ten grandchildren, Donnell andJoseph Langford, Cameron Brandon, Christopher Holley (Marianna), Latasha Sutton (David), Marcus Bembry, Carolyn Perry (Maurice), Hazel and Anthony Stallings, and Caleb Bembry. She also leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, cousins and friends to cherish her memories.
