Celebration of a Wonderful Life, Elder Patrice Hill, September 26, 1962- February 10, 2011

H m P atrice (Pat)

was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 26, 1962, to the

late Mary Ann Fowler and Jessie Fowler, Jr. Pat was the third oldest of four

children. She graduated from Douglass High School and was a member of the

Pep Squad.

Pat was blessed with two wonderful children, Jessica Maria and Renaldo O'Neal. In addition to her own two children, "God Mama Pat" served as mother and mentor to many youngsters in her community and family, providing guidance with a gentle hand and heart. On June 3, 1989, Pat was united in marriage to Theodore (Teddy) Hill. They were a fun and devoted couple who hosted game nights which included karaoke, board games, good music, lots of laughter and hot fish.

Pat was a devoted pre-school teacher with the Economic Opportunity Authority (EOA) Head Start Program for over ten years. She later became a family advocate working with children and youth throughout metro Atlanta. Pat was a hands-on mother being very active in her kids lives and extra-curricular activities. She was tagged as "team mom" and her kid's "cheerleader" at Gresham Parkonly missing one game in three different sports in five years. With a natural gift of public speaking, Pat became a certified Toastmaster.

Pat joined Tabernacle Baptist Church (Atlanta, Georgia) under the leadership of Reverend Dennis Meredith, where she was later ordained as a licensed Minister of the Gospel and served under Pastor Meredith as President of the Ministerial Staff.

This servant of the Lord shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ to whomever she encountered having a special ability to make and keep friends. She instilled her lifetime motto into her kids: "If you want a friend, you must first show yourself friendly." Along with her best friend Veronica, Minister Hill started the Obadiah

Prayer Group Ministry which reaches to several states. Committed to the Word of God, she started "Sisters on a Mission for Christ" to encourage teenage girls.
On February 15, 2005, Minister Hill joined Love Life Christian Fellowship Church (Ellenwood, Georgia) where she attended Sunday School faithfully. This servant of God had a heart for kids, spearheading the annual back-to-school drive, children's component of the Care Ministry Welcome Committee, and play narration.
After satisfactorily completing all requirements from the Grace Washington Institute, she was ordained as a licensed Minister of the Gospel at Love Life Christian Fellowship Church on November 2, 2008. For the past two years, Minister Hill has been in the process of preparing for eldership. In doing so she demonstrated sufficient opportunity for judging the God given gifts, Christian experience, Call to the Ministry and views of Bible Doctrine. On the evening of February 9, 2011, a mighty move of God ordered the steps of Pastor Grace C. Washington to solemnly and publicly set apart and ordain the work of the Gospel Ministry of Elder Patrice Fowler-Hill.
Elder Hill's commitment and devotion to God, family and church were trademarks of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, leader and mentor. Her smile, quick wit, and laughter influenced all who knew her. She will be remembered for her giving heart, wise counsel, favorite sayings, and unconditional love for people. Elder Hill's life is celebrated by friends she has known for over thirty years and also friends of just a few weeks. She was a church outside of the four walls. Even in her last days she made many friends with doctors, nurses and staff. Just like her home, her room became a special place to come for prayer, refreshments and laughter.
While she will be greatly missed by everyone, we know that Jesus welcomed her home into his loving arms. She leaves to cherish the wonderful memory of a life well lived, her beloved husband of nineteen years, Teddy; devoted and caring daughter, Jessica and son, Renaldo; loving step-children, Antwan (Briana) and Lamekia of Greenwood, South Carolina; cherished sisters and brothers, Demetria, Beverly, Tony and Waymond; devoted "adopted son" and nephew, Chris; nephew, Jerry and niece, Shameka; five loving grand-children; special Auntie, Gwen; devoted friends, Veronica, Gladys, Cheryl, I<.enny, Beverly, Darlene, and Gwen; God-daughters, Cheontae, Chara, Aziya (Ya-Ya), Alicia, Mikala, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of dear friends.
In addition to her family, Elder Hill's legacy and spirit will also be remembered by her compassionate and accessible Pastor, Rev. Grace Washington and the Love Life Christian Fellowship Church family.
